Conditions of Study
The conditions of study are stated in a contract and other documents, called the Contract between the Masaryk University Faculty of Medicine and the Student, the Rules of Study and Examinations and the Disciplinary Rules of the Masaryk University Faculty of Medicine.
Recognition of Previous University Study
All applicants must take and pass the entrance exam, regardless of whether they have previously studied at Masaryk University or at another university. No exceptions are made.
After being admitted and enrolled at Masaryk University, students who have previously studied at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University (MED MUNI) may apply for recognition of certain courses completed as part of their previous, unfinished studies at MED MUNI. In accordance with Section 12 of the Study and Examination Regulations, compulsory and elective courses, including their credit value, may be recognised provided that no more than three years have elapsed between their completion and enrolment in the current study programme.
Courses completed at any other university or institution cannot be recognised, regardless of the duration or level of the previous study. Students with previous studies at other institutions will therefore always be enrolled in the first year of the study programme.
Enrolment
Enrolment for the academic year 2027/2028 will take place in September 2027 during the week prior to the beginning of the autumn semester. The dates will be announced in the Letters of Acceptance, which will be posted to students.
Visas/Temporary Stay Permission/Permit de Sojourn
All non-EU citizens who come to study in the Czech Republic are obliged to get a visa prior to entry into the country.
