Data sources
Chemicals can enter human body through three exposure pathways: dietary, inhalation and dermal.
Human exposure to these substances can have a negative influence on human health.
The GENASIS database stores data describing the occurrence of chemical substances, especially POPs in the external and internal environment, in human tissues and in daily consumption products.
The data providers / owners are partner institutions - these are either RECETOX MU data or data from cooperating institutions.
Although the data providers are different institutions, the data are harmonized before being imported into the database, so they are mutually comparable.
Outdoor
Concentrations of POPs in air, water, soil and other matrices are carriers of information on environmental pollution.
Indoor
Two matrices are used to study the contamination of the indoor environment: air and dust.
