Storage facilities of two types are available:
- Shared networked storage for work data processed at clusters, provides user's /home directories. It also provides storage capacity for overheads and services needed for proper management of the clusters and the virtualized cloud environment (including development and application software). This storage capacity is implemented as a set of disk arrays accessible from luster nodes through the local network (3 PB available in this way).
- High-capacity data storage (Hierarchical Storage Management, HSM with capacity above 9 PB) built on the hierarchy of disk tiers using MAID technology. The HSM is used for storing semi-permanent and permanent data from scientific equipment and computations. The storage offers a unified file space with detailed access permission setting and is accessible through a set of protocols.
