How to apply?

Filing in your applications and the admissions procedure

Filing in your application takes only a few minutes and you can do it from the comfort of your own home. The first step is to select a study programme in the online guide by setting up the application, which can be found at the following link. For the majority of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes it is possible to apply only in the period between 1 November and the last day of February.

After your application is successfully filed you can expect your entrance exam. For the Bachelor’s study programmes you can also ask for an exemption; the conditions are specified here. If not granted, in the beginning of April, you will receive an e-mail with an invitation to the entrance exam. Depending on the type of test that you selected in your application, you may get an invitation for the test of general academic prerequisites, an exam in physics or both. For higher levels of study (Master’s and PhD degrees) the entrance exams differ. The Master’s entrance exams include a test in physics at the level of the Bachelor’s state exams in physics. For the Medical Physics study programme the exam also includes a short test of the basics of nuclear physics and ionising radiation physics; you may find the respective topics here. For both of the above tests, the use of the following comparative literature is allowed: Halliday R., Resnick R., Walker J.: Fyzika. VUTIUM 2000 and 2014.
