From the idea to successful commercialization
The Masaryk University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) was established in 2005 to help innovative ideas cross the university's borders and put knowledge and technologies into reality. More than 200+ companies have been supported over that time. TTO is our important partner to support and protect our intellectual property and ideas.
ROPLASS s.r.o. was founded in 2011 to commercialize atmospheric pressure plasma generators invented by the team at Masaryk University. ROPLASS's role is to design, develop, and manufacture atmospheric-pressure plasma sources and related equipment for surface modification of polymeric materials used in automotive, textile, paper, and other industries.
Advex Instruments, s.r.o. was founded in 2007 as a spin-off company of Masaryk University to take on the well-established production of See System, a contact angle and surface energy measuring tool, which was initially invented and produced at the university between 2002-2006. Although the See System has remained the company's flagship in making scientific instruments, it extended its interest into diagnostics of other surface properties such as the self-cleaning performance of photocatalytic materials, water permeability, etc.
